Molecular sieve

A molecular sieve is a solid adsorbent that can separate molecules of different sizes. It is SiO2, Al203 as a crystalline aluminum silicate with the main component. There are many holes of a certain size in its crystal, and there are many holes of the same diameter between them. It can adsorb molecules smaller than the pore diameter to the inside of the hole, and exclude molecules larger than the aperture to the outside, playing the role of sieve.

Molecular sieve has strong moisture absorption ability, and almost all solvents can be used to dry it, so it is widely used in the laboratory and industry. Molecular sieve adsorption method is a dehydration method with low energy consumption and high efficiency, the process is simple, more suitable for the deep dehydration of liquid and gas, the use of the size of the molecular sieve aperture selective adsorption of water, so as to achieve separation.

The thermal stability of molecular sieve is good, which can withstand the short high temperature of 600C~700C, and the regeneration temperature should not exceed 600C, otherwise affect the activity of molecular sieve, and can be evacuated (no thermal regeneration). The molecular sieve is not soluble in water, but dissolved in strong acids and alkali, so it can be used in the medium of pH5~11. Molecular sieve is easy to absorb water, should be sealed storage, use should check whether the water content exceeds the standard, storage for a long time moisture absorption, should be used after use, its performance unchanged. Molecular sieve has the characteristics of fast adsorption speed, many regeneration times, high crushing and wear resistance, strong pollution resistance, high utilization efficiency, long service life, etc., which is the preferred desiccant for gas and liquid phase deep drying.
